The bedside sleeper safety checklist
We keep this list on the fridge in our own heads. Run through it the first time you set the bassinet up and again any time you move it.
Level with your mattress
Pick the height (17.7, 18.5 or 19.3 inches) that puts the bassinet's sleeping surface level with the top of your mattress, never below it with a drop in between.
No gap at the join
With the near side lowered, roll the bassinet flush against your bed. If you can slide a hand between them, close the gap before baby goes in.
Wheels locked
Every caster should be on brake whenever the bassinet is in sleeper mode or anyone is asleep in it.
Only the mattress it came with
Use the included mattress and a fitted sheet made for it. No extra padding, pillows, bumpers or loose blankets.
Back to sleep
Lay your baby down on their back, every sleep, with their feet near the foot of the bassinet.
Rocking off for the night
Rocking mode is for soothing while you are awake. Lock it still before you sleep.
Re-check the straps
Parents have told us to tighten the straps under the bassinet base now and then. Give them a quick tug each week.
Know when to move on
Stop using the bassinet when your baby can push up on hands and knees, roll over, or reaches the listed limit (under 33 lb and under 18 months on the Pink model).
